The Teardown - Part 2 - 09/21/2014

Continuing the scrapping! Pictures reveal it isn't so nice and neat down below...

Bumper removed with just 4 bolts. Weighs probably 150lbs. Air hose used for the transmission cooler down there...

Inner fender removed. Nice shape inner fender, horrid outer fender brace - those bottom braces at the fender are all supposed to be one piece bolted and welded together.

Frame horns for the core support are not in bad shape. Core support itself is nice too.

Header panel removed with headlight harness exposed. Pretty easy with no bumper!

Right as I get the fenders off and the core support unbolted it starts to rain...

Everything front end sheet metal related removed! Covered back up on engine. Suspension parts anyone?

Removing the core support with everything attached makes it easier!

Took several days to recover from last week's session, plus 2 more days to recover from slicing off my index finger tip due to a broken cage nut trying to eat my glove on the impact gun. It's a hard line of work to be in, stripping rusty junk! I probably dropped 5lbs of rust dust out of the frame of this car...
