The Marr Wedding

My cousin William Hunter Marr got married on August 14th, 2004. We went because were invited and stuff. Got a chance to see the family again and Lisa got to meet them for the first time.

And what is a wedding, if not a journey we take together (channeling Mom)? Let the journey of pictures begin!

We began our journey at 3:00PM. Our destination was Santa Monica for the rehearsal dinner at 7:30PM (and West Hollywood where we would be staying). That left us 4.5 hours to get 100 miles up the road. For those of you not familiar with LA traffic, let's just say we would have left earlier had we been able to get off work sooner.


Aren't we glad we aren't trying to get in to San Diego now?


Lisa is in charge of driving while I man the cameras.


Watch out for people (illegals) making a mad dash across the road. This sign is right by the border patrol station on I-5.


Here we merge onto I-405 from HWY73. The toll road was our friend. $3.75 saved us 45 minutes.


Aren't we glad we aren't trying to leave Los Angeles now? Lisa's speedometer says 65MPH while the other side of the 405 is at a standstill.


Lisa and I dressed up and ready to kill on the wedding night. Due to a dead camera battery, we have no pictures of the rehearsal dinner.

Nice view. Bel Air is just over the freeway there. Once again, aren't we glad we aren't stuck in that traffic?


Outdoor wedding setup. Lisa and I sat in the last row and I played cards on my phone and we were told we needed to move up (hate to mess up the seating arrangements you know). We sat next to Rich's (groom's father) boss.


*Ding!* Wedding's over, how about a drink?
