Chevy And Pontiac V8 Differences

You've heard it before. "I need XX for a 350." What make of 350? "It doesn't matter, it's all GM." ORLY?



Small block Chevy on the left, traditional Pontiac v8 on the right. Same engine displacement - 350. Yeah, obviously the same engine, right?



Pretty much nothing externally is going to be interchanging here. Now you understand why Pontiac\Buick\Olds people get so peeved off at the parts guys who give them intake\head\etc gaskets for their engine only to be given the SBC part. Just because it is the most common motor made doesn't make everything just like it.
